John Cowell Senior Class Underwriter (ACII)
John is a well-known underwriting professional, with over 30 years’ experience and a market-leading reputation in liability.
Having worked in senior roles managing delegated facilities in both the UK and overseas, he is focused on delivering products that meet the needs of our coverholders and their clients.
With more than 16 years’ underwriting experience, Lee has worked for some of the largest insurance industry names including Royal & Sun Alliance, AmTrust and Dual Oliva.
With a deep knowledge of technical underwriting and compliance, he is committed to the delivery of exemplary client service standards.
Christopher Breakwell Chief Risk Officer (ACII)
With over 18 years’ industry experience, Christopher joined Irwell Insurance as Head of Underwriting and is now a board director. He is integral to Irwell’s rapid growth and has led the implementation of Consumer Duty.
He is passionate about delivering innovative, compliant solutions to help mitigate business risk within an ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Prior to joining Irwell, Sophie passed the bar and worked as a Solicitor specialising in liability and now has wide ranging insurance experience in property, legal expenses, employment protection and commercial liability.
Passionate about developing people and corporate culture, Sophie is the Complaints Manager and Vulnerable Customer Champion, as well as HR and Training and Development Lead at Irwell.
Fahim Latif Finance Manager (FCCA)
Fahim brings over 10 years’ experience in banking and insurance to his role as Finance Manager.
His positivity, financial acumen and strategic input into the decision-making process helps drive the business forward with a customer-centric focus.
Steve started his career as an accountant and for the last 20 years, he has focused on building highly effective finance functions within the financial services sector and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Steve developed his knowledge of operational excellence working across different environments from SMEs to large global organisations including RSA, BNYM, Royal London and HBOS.
